Through extensive research and intensive field-work, the Forest Watch position ensures the organization’s heart-felt values bare reflection to the landscape of the Yaak Valley throughout Federal Land management decisions.

Beyond the ground-work, the Forest Watch Coordinator has developed a durable working relationship with community members, elected officials, Forest Service specialists, and opposing interest groups. The Forest Watch Coordinator works with this diverse group of Stakeholders on implementing eco-system based guidelines and restorative forestry practices that will give our neighbors long-lasting, rewarding and sustainable incomes. To this end, the coordinator has assumed the leadership responsibilities for the Three Rivers District Team as a part of the Kootenai Forest Stakeholder Coalition. We are an active participant in a community that is on the mend, attempting to stitch the land and its people back together again.
